Dr. Garrey Carruthers is dean of the NMSU College of Business Administration and Economics. Carruthers previously served as president and CEO of the Cimarron Health Plan and was governor of New Mexico from 1987 to 1990. He is a former Assistant U.S. Secretary of the Interior and former special assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. He is also a former professor of agricultural business and agricultural economics at NMSU and served as director of the New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute.

Dr. Christopher Erickson has served on the faculty of the NMSU Department of Economics and International Business since 1987. He is a frequent speaker on financial economics, macroeconomics and the border economy. His primary teaching interest is money and banking. He is the author or co-author of numerous articles on financial economics, including a supplemental money and banking text that has been adopted on more than 100 college campuses.

Tom Weiser is a 27-year veteran of New Mexico State University serving the College of Business as Communications Manager. He is the college's resident photographer, archivist, historian and author of several different newsletters. He also produces entertaining, biographical videotapes of each year's inductees into the College s Hall of Fame.

Richard V. Adkisson is Associate Professor of Economics at New Mexico State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska in August 1995. His primary teaching areas are international economics and international business. Rick=s research has been published in the Journal of Economic Issues, Social Science Journal, New Mexico Journal of Science, Journal of Borderlands Studies, Policy Studies Review, International Trade Journal and Growth and Change. He serves on the Executive Board of the Center for Latin American and Border Studies and on the Border Focus Group of NMSU. Rick is active in several professional organizations including the Western Social Science Association, The Association for Institutional Thought, and the Association for Evolutionary Economics. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Economic Issues.

Felipe Scobell is a senior majoring in Business Computer Systems and the website developer for the Center for Economic Developed Research and Assistance at NMSU. He develops content(database) driven websites as well as other forms of multimedia including interactive CD's, graphic design and programming. Felipe designed, developed and programmed The New Mexico Business Outlook website including the mySQL/PHP driven article management backend.
